When I used to think of commercial real estate, I would often get frustrated that more people weren’t embracing the need to integrate available technologies into their business. Leaders sticking to their traditional business methods, refusing to change the way they’ve been doing things for years is what has plagued the real estate industry’s slow adoption of technology. I’ve said it before: change is good, it’s necessary, and it’s here. Not just to make our lives easier, but also for our clients. I would often think how great it could be if more leaders and their teams were taking the steps to be better, more efficient, and to use the resources available to change the face of commercial real estate.

Now, here we are. We’re in a time when commercial real estate is finally making the decision to truly embrace the need for technology, innovation, and the introduction of new business practices that differ from the traditional plans we’ve grown to suffer through.

Your clients are different, your team is different, and what they want is different. What are you doing to set yourself apart from the rest? If you can’t answer this, it’s time for you to disrupt.

Technology Disrupts CRE

I cannot begin to describe how pleased and excited I am to be a part of this time of change and disruption in our industry - where managers are seen and used as a resource, not just another body filling an office space. It’s a time when it takes more than a phone call to close a deal. It’s building relationships, building trust, and setting yourself apart from your competitors. This day in age is about offering more of yourself to the needs of the people that surround you and giving them the tools they need to succeed.

In a few days, I’ll be in attendance at the Miami Real Estate Symposium & EXPO 2015 in downtown Miami.  I’ll have the pleasure of not only sharing the stage with some of the most experienced innovators of our time, but also have the opportunity to share with you what I’ve learned through my own personal experiences.
